Tony’s Chocolonely loves coffee shops. Similarly, Marcos Desta, owner of Amsterdam’s Kaffa Koffie, has been a Tony’s Fan from the very beginning. So much so, that he often sends Tony’s bars to his family back home in his native Ethiopia.

Reigning from what is thought to be the birthplace of coffee, Marcos harkens back to his roots serving only coffee of Ethiopian origin that he describes as round and full-flavored.  In addition to numerous Ethiopian, “single origin” coffee choices, Kaffa Koffie specializes in a selection of teas, and offers a unique collection of Ethiopian gifts. Marcos has recently organized traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremonies at Kaffa Koffie; a chance to gather around the coffee pot at low, round tables…so cozy.
